GDPR

On 25th May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) entered into application in the European Union, representing one of the most important and significant changes in the data protection legal framework in the EU in twenty years.

GDPR builds on previous data protection legislation and guarantees the protection of individuals’ personal data irrespective of the format used (online, paper etc).

we are committed to protecting our users’ privacy and believe that people and businesses alike should have their right to privacy online just as much as they do offline. That’s why we very much welcome the entry into force of the new European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It is a key step towards protecting individuals’ personal data and keeping the right to privacy in mind all the time.

 

On December 2019 SmartAgent successfully passed an audit session conducted by an independent external editor.

It was stated that the company in all material aspects has adequately designed and implemented effective controls as Data Processor over the personal data it processes on behalf of it’s clients, to provide reasonable assurance that personal data is managed and protected in conformity with the GDPR.
